Lise Meitner- Manhatten Project
This storyboard does not have a description.
We have experienced so many surprises in nuclear physics that one cannot say without hesitation about anything - It's Impossible
Otto Hahn's partner, Lise Meitner, a physicist, was forced out of Germany by Hitler - Pg. 14
If you really do form two such fragments, they would be pushed apart with great force
Responding to Hahn's letter, talking of the new discovery (soon called Fission)
Meitner and her nephew, Otto Frisch, another physicist, sit and talk of Hahn's discovery
Yes, that's what I mean
Meitner starts working out the math of the uranium fragments
Both physicists figure out that the energy of one fragment of a uranium atom can make a grain of sand jump
While Frisch sketches out the split, Meitner agrees with the drawing and gives her description of the problem
