Where is the necklace?
During the late 1800's, Mathilde Loisel is living a poor life. She considers herself as a middle class woman. She also has a husband who is called M. Loisel. She lives in a poor house.
Mathilde Loisel goes and buys a dress using her husbands savings, borrows a diamond necklace from her wealthy friend, then leaves because she has a piece of cloth on that she thinks is not appropriae for the ball.
Remember that necklace you let me borrow 10 years ago? Well I lost it and I saved up and bought you a replacement.
That necklace was just fake.
The Loisels find a taxi and when they get home, Mathilde Loisel realizes that she had lost the diamond necklace.
The Loisels save up their money for 10 years and buy a replacement diamond necklace.
Mathilde finds Mme and tells her what happened 10 years ago and that she saved up and bought here a replacement necklace.
