  • In the story "The Most Dangerous Game" Whitney and Rainsford are discussing about how a jaguar feels. "'...You're a big-game hunter,not a philosopher. Who cares about how the jaguar feels? Perhaps the jaguar does' observed Whitney"( Connell 60).
  • In the story is says that Rainsford leaned too far and fell off the yacht. "...his pipe... was knocked from his mouth. He lunged for it...and realized that he lunged too far and lost his balance" (Connell 63).
  • In the story, General Zaroff has 4 traps to try nd figure out how to eliminate Rainsford by making him play his game." 'Its a game you see...I give them a supply of food and an excellent hunting knife. I give him 3 hours to start. I am to follow... only with a pistol of the smallest caliber and range...excludes me for 3 whole days he wins... if I find him...he loses' " (Connell 71 & 72).
