Hello, I am Sir William Crookes and I'm here to tell you about the Crookes Tube.
I invented the Crookes Tube in 1875 and used it to discover cathode rays and streams of electrons. Also I allowed advancements in vacuum techniques for ray tubes.
This is a simple model of a Crookes Tube
High Voltage Power Supply
When high voltage is applied between the electrodes, cathode rays, made up of electrons, are projected in straight lines from the cathode.
The Crookes Tube was also used by Wilhelm Rontgen in 1895 to discover X-rays.
Without my invention and discovery, cathode rays, X-Rays, and the updated atomic model (properties of electrons) would not exist in your world today.
