Storyboard Text

  • what do I do? I'm sad all the time and I am always sleepy. I think I'm depressed.
  • all we have to do is pray about it. It will get better
  • I've been praying about it. I'm still sad, I feel like things will never get better
  • yea, I'm fine. I have just been busy
  • Hey Angie, where have you been? you've missed like three games, you okay?
  • Recently, Angie had been suffering from symptoms of depression, so she decided to ask her Grandmother what to do about it.
  • why did I lie like that? I'm not okay. I need help
  • Angie had been praying about it for weeks and her depression was not getting better. She felt like she couldn't talk to her family because she knew they were going to tell her the same thing.
  • it has been weeks, and I think you have made alot of progress, this weeks homework is to finally tell your family that you have been coming to therapy
  • The next day a friend had confronted Angie about how she had been missing basketball games. Angie lied and told her she was busy when really she just didn't feel like doing the things she used to do.
  • Hey, Grandma, I have to tell you something..
  • Angie knew she needed more help than just praying but she felt like she could not count on her family for support, so she looked for help on her own.
  • Angie had been keeping a secret from her friends and family, she had been going to therapy for weeks. She finally felt better and was happy to tell her family about her sessions.
  • Angie wanted her family to know that praying might not have worked by itself, but it played a huge role in her recovery while going to therapy sessions.
