  • Newton's 1st Law of Motion An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by another force
  • As you can see in the image above, the soccer ball was standing still until the soccer player kicked it.
  • Newton's Second Law of Motion:  The greater the force, the more acceleration.
  • As you can see in the images above, when the baseball player hit the ball hard, it went far, but when he hit it soft, it did not go anywhere.
  • Newton's 3rd Law of Motion: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
  • When the boy walks, his feet push on the ground, and the ground pushes him forward.  This is what causes him to walk.
