Hey have you heard about how photosynthesis and cellular respiraton works?
No I have not how, how does it work?
Well when it rains the plant absorbs water through its roots.
Oh then rays of light from the sun hit the plant, the plant creates a chemical reaction through its chloroplasts right?
Right this is a light dependent reaction! Then the plant absorbs carbon dioxide through its stomata.
Oh I see so is that how photosynthesis works?
Almost, so when water, carbon dioxide, and sunlight are added it creates a chemical reaction that creates oxygen and glucose! This is a light independent reaction.
Wow thats so cool!
Yeah! So when oxygen and glucose are created, oxygen is the waste product so gets released and glucose gets stored in the leaves for food.
I bet the plant could not do this without the mitochondria transporting ATP energy.
Your right! Cellular respiration and photosynthesis are interrelated because cellular respiration needs glucose and photosynthesis creates it.
Now I know how cellular respiration and photosynthesis works!
