Storyboard Text

  • Article 1 - The legislative branch
  • As a farmer i want to have a fair way to make laws to ensure that lawmakers are accountable for the people.
  • Ok, well lets make a Legislative Branch that will make laws fair for everyone.
  • Article 2 - The executive branch
  • We enforce the laws that the legislative branch makes.
  • Article 3 - The Judicial branch
  • We interpret the laws that the legislative branch makes and the executive branch enforces.
  • The Legislative Branch is made up of two sections. They are called the Senate and House of Representatives. They both make laws that are fair for everyone and if they feel like the president is wrong in a decision he has made they can override his veto with a two-thirds vote. They can also declare war and propose amendments to the constitution.
  • Article 4 - Full Faith and Credit
  • I fully accept the laws that u want me to use.
  • The Executive Branch was made to enforce the laws that the Legislative Branch made. The President is also known as the chief executive and is the head of the largest branch of the federal government. Other members of the branch also have to carry out executive duties. For example the cabinet advises the president on matters relating to the department.
  • Article 5 - Amending the Constitution
  • The Judicial Branch interprets the constitution. It makes up our federal court system. However the federal court system can not deal with legal laws. Normally legal laws are handled in local courts. However, the federal government handles cases that involve issues not limited to one state, such as violation to the constitution or federal laws.
  • Federalism
  • Federalism divides us, but we still all want America to be great.
  • Article 4 says that states must give "full faith and credit" to the laws and decisions of other states. This means that the states must accept the legal documents and actions of other states.
  • Thank you.
  • To propose an amendment to the constitution there must either be a two-thirds vote in each house or they can call a national convention. However, either way there still must be three- fourths approval of the states for the proposal to become part of the constitution.
  • There has been a three-fourth vote so the proposal is now part of the constitution.
  • Federalism is the division between the federal and state governments. Both the federal and state governments have some exclusive powers of their own, while sharing others.
