  • The boys made rules to stay civilized. Showing how they were civilized origonly
  • "I'll give the chonch to the next person to speak. He can hold it when he's speaking." 33
  • We'll have rules!" he cried excitedly. "lots of rules!" pg.33
  • Jack had ignored the agreed rule of keeping the fire going and a ship passed the island creating tension. This shows the beginning of lawlessness wich grows into savagery.
  • "They may have seen us. We might have gone home--"
  • "There was a ship." PG.76
  • Jack Tried to remove the main rule wich creates anarchy (Or savagery in this case.) This shows Jack becoming savage or at least encouraging savagery.
  • ”Conch! Conch!” shouted Jack “we don’t need a conch anymore pg.144
  • Jack left the group creating a faction that is a group of savages. This is when the boys take the largest leap into savary and finaly break down the rules.
  • "I'm not going to be a part of Ralph's lot--" pg.145
  • Ralph was running with the swiftness of fear through the undergrowth.
  • In this last part, the boys resort to first-degree murder to try and kill Ralph. Piggy and Simon had already been killed by Jack's group. The savages grew so aggressive that Ralph was truthfully afraid. With all types of murder covered savages are the only thing they could be concidered.
