Bottom left: Jack was getting irritated by Ralph because he was complaining about how people let the fire go out and the ship go by. Jack pulled his knife out of the pig to intimidate Ralph. Bottom right: Jack lost his temper and he slapped Piggy instead of dangerously hurting Ralph.
