  • Ugh I don't feel very good
  • You have the symptoms of a common cold or flu maybe you should go home.
  •  I have Chills, Fever, Rash, Night sweats, Muscle aches, Sore throat, Fatigue, Mouth ulcers
  • Oh Allison you have a fever, It's a good thing you came home from school. Let's go to the doctors.
  • Mom I don't feel very good.
  • Allison heads into school not feeling very good.
  • Doctors office
  • Allison went to the nurse in her 2nd period class
  • *sigh* I don't want to say this but I had sex with a kid from school two weeks ago
  • Oh, well this might have solved our problem. We are going to run some tests.
  • It looks like you have swollen lymph nodes. Have you been near anyone sick or done anything with someone sick?
  • The nurse sent Allison home early
  • You have HIV. HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus. HIV is a communicable disease and can only be transmitted from person to person by direct contact. Within 2 to 4 weeks after infection with HIV, about two-thirds of people will have a flu-like illness.
  • Thank you doctor and I will keep this in mind.
  • HIV weakens a person’s immune system by destroying important cells that fight disease and infection. HIV is a virus and once you have it there is no cure. 
  • Allison and her mom go to the doctor
  • Allison told the doctor what she did, this let the doctor know how she got sick and made it able for him to run tests
  • "It's okay though, HIV can be controlled and isn't deadly, however it is highly contagious through direct contact such as sex, so just be careful and let your partner know before sex. It is not curable so you will have to keep this in mind your whole life."
