That iceberg over there is made up of tiny particles that are tightly packed toegether to make up what's called a solid!
*Kinetic Energy is the movement between particles*
Welcome to Antartica!
Solid's have almost no kinetic energy at all.
A liquid is made up of packed particles that have just a bit of movement.
This is a river in the spring. The water went from a solid to a liquid.
A liquid can take up the space of the container/area it's put in.
Liquid's have a bit of kinetic energy.
Gas particles aren't close together at all and have lot's of kinetic energy between the particles. They're very fast moving particles!
When it's hot enough out water will transform into a gas form called steam
