  • Scene 1 Characters: Michalle Jean and Her Mother. Location: Michalle Jeans house.
  • Scene 2 Characters: None Location: The open road
  • Haiti
  • Scene 3 Characters: Michaelle Jean, Mrs. Jean and Mr. Jean. Location: Jean Home in Canada
  • Michaelle Jean was born in Port-au-Prince and spent winters in that city and summers and weekends in Jacmel which was her mothers hometown. Even though her father was was a principal she was home schooled because her parents did not want her swearing allegiance to the haitian president at the time Francois Duvalier. In this scene Michaelle mother is teaching her.
  • Scene 4 Characters: Michaelle Jean Location: The University of Montreal
  • The University of Montreal
  • As times got harder, Jean and her family fled Haiti to escape the regime that Duvalier has set in to place. But Jeans father was arrested and tortured in 1965 and moved to Canada in 1967 and Jean and her family in 1968. In this scene it shows Jean and her family leaving Haiti
  • Scene 5 Characters: Michaelle Jean Location: Office
  • As they arrive in Canada things turn for the worst as Jeans father starts to become distant and violent and her parents eventually separated. Jean and her mother and sister move to a basement apartment in Little Burgundy, Montreal. In this scene Jeans mother and father argue and then Jeans mother kicks him out of the house and they split.
  • Scene 6 Characters: Michaelle Jean and Stephen Harper Location: Outside the Senate Chamber
  • Michaelle Jean received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian and Hispanic languages and taught Italian Studies from 1984 to 1986. Michaelle also coordinated study's on spousal abuse and worked at woman shelters. She then involved herself in organizations that help immigrants to Canada to obtain entry. In this scene she is studying at The University of Montreal.
  • After working for the organizations that help immigrate people into Canada she started to work for the Conseil des Communautes, where she began writing about experiences of immigrant woman. In this scene she is seen writing her first article about a immigrant women.
  • On August 4, 2005 Michaelle surpassed Adrienne Clarkson as the Queen's representative At her investiture ceremony in the senate chamber in 2007 she gave a deep speech talking about the environment . In this scene she is seen talking with Stephen Harper (Canada's PM at the time.)
