Wow! We can actually see how ancient Sumers used irrigation systems with canals and reservoirs to control their water. Also their is plows in the distance that are turning and tilling the soil to help plant seeds
This is awesome! This was a building that the king directed to build! He is at the top of the social structure along with priests and gov. officials, like scribes. Scribes recorded laws/contracts. Under them were artisans and merchants who sold and made things, and at the bottom were slaves
This ziggurat is super cool! We get to see how there temples (or ziggurats) looked like. Sumerians believed that their gods actually lived in here! These ziggurats are so huge, they can be seen from miles away! There are many ceremonies for these gods, they will even sacrifice a human as an offering.
Ooh! that gold thing must be a lyre! A lyre is a is like a small harp, there is a wooden sound box with strings in the middle, and when the strings are pulled, they make a sound! Next to it must be a weapon, made by a metalworker, and behind is a house, that is designed very well. These are all forms of art in the Sumerian people's time.
