  • My favorite event in the Bible is John 13:1-7 which takes place in the Last Supper, specifically when Jesus rose from the table to wash the disciple's feet.
  • It shows that the greatest leader, is the one who serves as well as leads. That though Jesus is the leader of the disciples and is God himself, he still chooses to be a servant-leader.
  • Lord, are you going to wash my feet?
  • “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
  • From this event in the Bible, I realized that Jesus is the true role model for servant-leadership and that I should follow in his footsteps in order to better myself as a person, a servant and a leader in Christ.
