God made me do it! He controlled my hand to stab Coby with a knife. It was God’s plan to end Coby’s life.
That's not true, James! God does have a general plan of salvation for us, but He also gives us the freedom to choose between the two ways of life, His way or the wrong way. Therefore, the act of murdering Coby is your own doing, and not God’s.
25 years later...
I don’t care. God will forgive me anyway because I love Him deeply. I go to church weekly, and I even memorize a bible verse every single day.
But God doesn’t just desire your good James, He desires the good of all the world, including the life of Coby.
Also, Jesus doesn’t care how many times you've gone to church or how many bible verses you’ve memorized, what He cares about is how you treat other people.
You’re right, Tristan… I’m sorry… God will never forgive me after what I’ve done.
James, there is only one sin that God cannot forgive, and that is the sin of refusing His forgiveness. You may hate what you've done, and even hate yourself for doing it, but God still loves you, and He yearns for you to come to Him and be with Him in Heaven through all eternity.
I don’t want to carry this burden of guilt any longer.
Then ask God to come into your life and cleanse you of all your sins, and He will. Rather than memorizing bible verses, learn to understand the Bible and pray wholeheartedly, for this is how you can truly know about our amazing God.
Heavenly Father, thank you. Thank you for allowing me to know who you truly are. Thank you for giving my life purpose and meaning. Thank you for loving me unconditionally inspite of the fact that I'm a sinner and I am undeserving. Amen
