  • Total Wellness Total wellness is your physical, mental/emotional, and social health. Social wellness is how well you interact with other people. Physical health is affected by things like sleep, the food you eat, and hygiene. Mental wellness is how comfortable you feel about your surroundings, other people, and even yourself. Emotional wellness affects how you react to these things. Sometimes people experience stress. It is important to handle it right for your emotional/mental wellness. Both your body and mind are affected by stress. People respond to stress with defense mechanisms. Defense mechanisms are subconscious responses to deal stress. Some defense mechanisms are healthier than others. Some people cope with stress differently. Some people stress eat which is very unhealthy.
