My family came from a country called Mongolia. A landlocked cold and dry country between Russia and China that is mainly grass field. Where the people mostly depend on a nomadic lifestyle.
My family came to the United States because there were no jobs and they were living in poverty. They needed to find one fast. They heard that America had plenty of jobs available so they headed over there.
My mom and dad saved up money to buy a flight to america because Mongolia is landlocked. My father was very excited to see the amazing wonders of America and my mom was extremely nervous.
My mom and dad expected America to be a futuristic utopia where everything was high tech and very special
My mom and dad first explored America when they arrived and visited many places across America from California to Florida. They finally came to New York and settled in Flushing.
They moved all over Queens, from Flushing to Bellerose and now Glen Oaks. It has been 24 years since they came here and now live together with my little brother and I.
