  • Chapter 6: The Keeper Of The Winds
  • Chapter 7: Cannibal Beach
  • I will go up the tree, if I do not return before sundown, you guys may leave without me.
  • Chapter 8: Circe
  • Sentence: The bag moved with a quick, sharp cadence, like a demon ready to be unleashed from it's chains.
  • Chapter 9: The Land Of The Dead
  • You will visit the golden cattle by which you shall not eat.-Teiresias And you will meet Scylla and Charybdis.-Elepenor
  • Sentence: My men left up the leg like a fly on a flytrap.
  • Chapter 10: The Wandering Rocks
  • Sentence:     My friends say that you cannot become something you are not, but that's not how it occurred with my crew. I let half of my crew go explore a castle yet, they did not return. After that, I sent even more of my crew and they did not return. I went myself with a flower from Hermes that could stop the spell that Circe would put on me and make me pig. Then, I was able to free my crew and escape.
  • Chapter 11: The Sirens
  • Sentence: Everywhere he looked, all over the place, stood ghosts. Ulysses was given wisdom and information about his future, including the fact that he would visit  golden cattle that he shouldn't eat, face two very dangerous creatures, and also greet the witch sisters. All of the ghosts who spoke to Ulysses, some liking him and some not, spoke of the terrors that lie ahead of him.

  • Ulysses, you will face the beautiful sounds and ugly faces of the witch sisters. -Achilles
  • Sentence Rocks stood next to rocks; rippling waves hit the great wall that stood before them. As they veered the boat the opposite direction, the rocks followed, chasing them at every turn and not letting up. In the end, the rocks pushed Ulysses and his crew south when they wanted to go north.
  • Sentence: In the narrow strip that stood before the crew, singing ladies awaited them. Ulysses was forced to tie himself to the pole of the mast so that he would not be lured in by the hideous ladies beautiful singing. Everyone else on the ship had earplugs on but Ulysses didn't, and he had to be held back before they could continue.
