Reflection Paper Today I'm feeling very anxious, stressed and overwhelmed being a new exchange student in high school.
Working out sure helps my mental health and makes me feel less stressed.
Frank has his first day of school today, he is a new exchange student from South Africa.
I feel really stressed and anxious.
What can I help you with today?
Frank doesn't feel like he is fitting in with his peers. He is feeling anxious, stressed and overwhelmed.
I'll take a bath to relax and unwind, have a nutritional meal and a good night sleep!
Thanks for your help friends!
Physical exercise, along with helping his physical health, helps Frank's mental health in two ways. Frank goes to the gym to destress and take his mind off everything overwhelming him. He can also meet new friends at the gym who share interests with him, which will make him feel like he fits in.
No problem Frank!
Frank goes to a counsellor to talk about his feelings during his difficult transition from South Africa to Canada. Talking to the counsellor makes Frank feel like weight has been lifted from his shoulders, relaxes him, and he also receives valuable advice from the counsellor about how to adjust to the changes and take care of his mental health.
After a long day, Frank ensures that he takes time to relax, take care of himself, reflect on the day's challenges and triumphs, and how to make tomorrow even better. He does this by taking a bath, which allows him to spend time alone and away from life's stresses.
Frank takes the time to work with his peers and also thank them for talking to him, helping him out, giving him advice, and trying to make his transition from South Africa as easy and stress free as possible. He makes new friends and joins school clubs to create new connections to fit into the new scheme.
