Romulus and Remus were twin brothers. Their father was Mars, the God of War and their mother was Rhea Silvia.

Amulius, Rhea Silvia’s uncle took the throne from King Numitor and stopped her from having more babies, so when they were born, Amulius seized them to be thrown in the River Tiber.
However, the boys were rescued by a she-wolf who took cared of the babies. After some time, the shepherd Fastulus, found them, who looked after them until they grew up.
The two young men discovered who they really were and killed Amulius, while they put their grandfather back on throne.

They decided to build their own cities. One day, Remus mocked Romulus’s walls and said that could be easily breached. He was angry that he mocked his city and over cross his wall and decided to kill him.
In 753 B.C.E, Romulus became the first king of Rome. After he died, he was worship as one of the gods.
