The estate general was when members from each estate would meet to solve important issues. The 3rd estate was unhappy with the system because it was unfair to them and left them with little power.When they tried to make change the king kicked them out and they formed the national assembly. They all signed the tennis court oath which is a agreement that they would create a constitution

They attacked the bastille to show it was time for change and wanted to make it clear that they were not gonna stand for injustice any longer. It signaled the beginning of the revolution
