  • In the year 1765 British Parliament passed an act where the legal documents had to be taxed. Colonist did not like this so they started to burn stamped papers and stopped buying British goods, started to make their own goods. This act stopped in 1766.
  • On King street in Boston, Colonists and British soldiers were having a disagreement. Colonists started throwing things at the soldiers so the British soldiers opened fire in the colonists. 5 colonists were killed during the massacre.
  • In 1773 an act was passed that all tea must be bought from England. Many colonist were not happy about this so they made a plan to sneak into the ships. They disguised themselves as Indians and took the tea from three ships to throw it all into the sea.
