This is an assignment for peer counciling.
There was once a girl named Meredith. She was going through a very hard time. One smart girl finally started to notice. It started in math class. Meredith got a D on her paper. She seemed to judge herself so harshly.
Later that day, the smart girl noticed Meredith acted really nervous and unsure when she saw the soccer tryouts flyer in the hallway.
At lunch, the smart girl and her friends Carla and Julie noticed Meredith had no one to sit with.
Towards the end of the day, the smart girl saw Meredith in the bathroom yelling at herself for making one, tiny, mistake.
The smart girl and Carla went to ask Meredith if she could meet up with them in the courtyard tomorrow. They were worried about her. Meredith agreed to meet up with them.
First they explained how she could raise her grades. They said she could use her turbo button! Carla said, "The turbo button is an imaginary button you push when your feeling down. Like to raise your grade, you could set study time aside, or make a deal with your parents. For example, tell your parents you want to get good grade. Make a deal saying that if you complete your homework, and the answers are all correct, then you can use your phone for the rest of the afternoon."
