School-age (6-12 years old)
Personal Description: I started to walk for the first time on my own and my parents were so surprised. My parents told me I was confused and surprised. My parents really encouraged me. If I fell down they didn't yell at me to try again. I did it on my own independently.
Adolescence (11-18 years old)
Personal Description: I started riding my bike when I was 5 years old. I remember the first time riding my bike without training wheels and I fell down straight to the ground. I cried every time I fell because I thought I couldn't do it. I gave up but my parents told me "Come on one more time and that's it". And I did do it one more time and I did it. I was so proud of myself.
Personal Description: I started playing the flute when I was 11 years old. I remember the first time I had to play in front of an audience was in front of my school. I was really nervous even though I wasn't alone. I wanted to leave the stage, at that moment it felt like time froze and went slow as a turtle. I somehow played perfectly without worrying. I was amazed of myself.
Personal Description: I started playing volleyball when I was 12 years old. I remember I wasn't good at it at first and I was going to give up on sports in general. My father played volleyball for his entire life and decided to teach me. Now I love volleyball and play with my friends and family. I remember playing at a game against a school and it was a tie with only one minute left. I had the ball and there was so much pressure but I pushed through to get the gaming point. Everyone was proud of me and I was surprised that I did it.
