Since it's winter, let's take a little break, until it gets warmer. I think the Persians will agree with that too.
A couple of months later...
Let's get back on our feet. We need to win this war and take the Greeks down. Let's just hope that the bridge is not destroyed by the Greeks.
Spartans and Athenians, let's work together, our smarts and strength can help us win the battle and the war.
Since it was a bit chilly in the winter, both countries decided to take a break from the fighting until winter is over.
Only use half of the Persian army, just in case all of them die.
When winter was warmer and the temperature was warmer they started to get ready for another battle. Xerxes was afraid that the Greeks would reach Hellespont first and destroy the bridge, but the bridge was destroyed by a natural disaster.
The Spartans and Athenians worked together, and they did not give up, their smarts and power/strength helped them win battles throughout the war.
Well, that is it for my story about the Persian War!
King Xerxes only wanted to use half of his army. He probably knows that it is a challenge to beat the Greek army.
The Greek army defeated half of the Persian army. King Xerxes retreated with the other half of his army.
Unexpectedly, the Greeks won most of the battles in the Persian War, while the Persians only won one battle. The Greeks worked together to figure out what to do. They used strategy.
