Storyboard Text

  • I realised things are very different in Japan... Kids do not drive in high school, guns are not present in their daily lives and people are more reserved in their relationships.
  • YES! In countries like Japan it's not normal to watch under-age teens driving to high school. I learnt to drive when I was 15 and actually I got my driver license in school.
  • Another thing I've realized is that I can't say to my students I have a gun at my US house and that I grew up surrounded by them.
  • In the Oriental culture guns are seen as an instrument of violence. In contrast, we were raised in rural areas, so we got used to it.
  • A few hours later.
  • YES! When I was little me and my dad used to hunt and use guns in our daily lives, and the same thing happened with our neighbords.
  • I also have realised how people in Japan reacts to the relationships, they are too reserved!
  • Me too!  Here children and teenagers seem ashamed when they kiss each other.
  • People in Japan are too different from us ...
  • Yes! But maybe one day we will get used to it...
