I realised things are very different in Japan... Kids do not drive in high school, guns are not present in their daily lives and people are more reserved in their relationships.
YES! In countries like Japan it's not normal to watch under-age teens driving to high school. I learnt to drive when I was 15 and actually I got my driver license in school.
Another thing I've realized is that I can't say to my students I have a gun at my US house and that I grew up surrounded by them.
In the Oriental culture guns are seen as an instrument of violence. In contrast, we were raised in rural areas, so we got used to it.

YES! When I was little me and my dad used to hunt and use guns in our daily lives, and the same thing happened with our neighbords.
I also have realised how people in Japan reacts to the relationships, they are too reserved!
Me too! Here children and teenagers seem ashamed when they kiss each other.
