The Indian Removal ActBy Valentina Castladi
Their land belongs to us! The Indians will have to move somewhere else
You can't just kick the Indians out of their home!
Fine then! They will have two years to get out of their or we will make them!
The Indian Removal Act was signed by President Andrew Jackson. This law forced the Indian tribes to move out of their homelands and keep on moving towards the west.
LETS GO EVERYONE GET OUT RIGHT NOW!
Davy Crockett completed opposed the idea of the Indian Removal Act and complained to Jackson about it.
Jackson agreed to give the Indians at least two years to abandon their homeland for good
After the two years were up, the Indians had still not left their homeland. So the soldiers had to come in a force them out.
The soldiers took the Indians led them out of their homeland and traveled along side with up a trail though the west which became known as the "Trail of Tears".
