Storyboard Text

  • My dear Michelangelo,  ease your pain, there is nothing purer than love.  You are not at fault for loving another man. God made you that way.
  • My dear friend Vittoria, I feel such comfort in my mind now that I confided in you the roots of my distress.
  • In me, you'll always find a devoted and trustworthy friend. I'm too grateful for your companionship, which I really need now that my dear husband left for war.
  • What a great loyalty! I respect you and admire you for that. If only you knew how much I appreciate you. I'll forever be grateful for your love and support.
  • You should never feel miserable my dear. You are who you are and nothing is wrong with that.
  • You bring me hope to all my misery. On account of your behalf, there's lightness in my spirit. I let my secret out of my chest and you beautiful soul lead me to self-acceptance.
  • Never underestimate the power of art. You, after all, should understand how art helps you ease your pain and even other people's pain.
  • Art, talent and memory with all their scope can never pay you back what you have given. May you obtain the greatest virtues of life. Only you've been able to aid me through my depression.
  • You said it. Love can take many shapes. While the love we feel for each other is pure and innocent; the love I feel for my husband is ardent and romantic.
  • And yet how wise I was in loving you. Fate must have made our paths cross. What I feel for you is just honest pure love. Not everyone is remarkably fortunate like me to have such a passionate and wonderful friendship with you.
  • Thank you, my dear Michelangelo. Thank you because, in the same way, that I've been helpful to you, you've been helpful to me. I am inspired by your poetry and I would keep yours in mind when writing my own.
  • There is no need for you to thank me. If it wasn't for your friendship I don't know what there would be left of me. Now I'm not afraid to love my dear Tommaso.
