  • It was a war between Mexico and the U.S and they fought for Mexican territory. 
  • How did it get Started?
  • The Mexican troops came across the US troops in the Rio Grande and Mexico fired first. And that is how it began in April 25, 1846
  • Who was Involved?
  • Results of the War
  • 525,000 square miles were added to the United States, including what is now Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. 
  • Connections to Chicano Movement
  • We are chicano and we got land taken away from us. And we will fight for our rights 
  • that land being what is now Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. 
  • And we are proud of being Chicano. it connects with us because  and land was unfairly taken away from us .
