Megan's story begins in her home where she received an intriguing message.
Teens browse the internet carelessly, and constantly endanger themselves. Adolescents constantly forget to be truthful and honest online, which easily brings risks.
Students can be watched at school in order to assure that they are honest and kind. The same can't be said for online activities. This can lead to a lot of issues. Such as the case of Megan Meiers.
Megan would spend her time on myspace, and one day she received an interesting message from one especially attractive boy who she began to frequently message. soon she began to receive threatening messages, and hateful posts were posted on her page.
Megan told her parents and while they consoled her, they wrongfully scolded her as well and Megan soon became overwhelmed an suicidal.
In a fit of despair Megan rushed to her room and committed suicide. The entire situation was unfortunate a situation that could have been avoided by practicing Digital etiquette.
