  • Thesis: Yes, Andrew Jackson should be on the $20 bill; due to his further actions that have lead to this final statement.

  • This action shows and qualifies him to be on the $20 bill as he spread political power in a well manner.
  • Good Action:
  • Jacksonian Democracy:
  • He believed that his election was stolen by him and with this he took it to his advantage to gain presidency by spreading this political idea.
  • Danielle: The Jacksonian democracy was an idea on how to spread power in an equal manner among everyone.
  • Good Action:
  • This was a good action as it showed that the common man could have an equal job as others.
  • Spoils System:
  • Faith: The spoils system was  when he replaced different jobs with his supporters.
  • This created a new era as he took advantage by it to support his ideas.
  • Bad Action:
  • Corbin: The Indian Removal Policy was a policy in which it forced Native Americans to become U.S. citizens or sign a treaty and leave. 
  • Jackson took this to his advantage as he supported this and sent a proposing letter to pass a law.

  • This was a bad action as he believed that the natives were conquered objects and this law took their land which was unjust.
  • This was a good action as he believed that there should be stricter limits towards the federal gov. authority under the constitution.

  • Bella: This occurred when the states had the right to judge when the gov. had passed an unconstitutional law.
  • Jackson took this to his advantage as he used it to gain votes in the south.
  • This was a good action as getting rid of the 2nd bank was what benefited the people in general.

  • War on National Bank/Economic Decisions:
  • Ruby: This was when Jackson wanted to get rid of the 2nd bank.
  • He took this to his advantage as he believed it was what increased his chances when he was reelected.
