Once upon a time, in a city of merchants, past the deep forest, and into the Cobbler’s house there lived a beautiful young lady who loved children so much. She loved them so much that she wished to bear a child of her own but she could not because a long time ago, a witch had cursed her long lineage of first born women to be infertile. Her mother was lucky enough to be the second daughter born to a family of farmers but as for herself, luck ran out as she was the firstborn.
Of course not! I'll just fetch more goat milk another day.
Do you mind giving me some milk, please?
One day, as she went to fetch goat milk, an old woman stopped her in her way to ask for some goat milk.
After the woman was done drinking, she offered the young lady a reward.
So the young lady told the old woman her deepest wish to carry a child and her family's curse.
I will have the answer to any of your wishes.
A curse as old as your family's can be undone. All you need is a cup of 3 days old goat milk, a drop of blood from a maiden, and nuts. Soon you will bear a child!
So the very next day, she set out to get the ingredients but where would she get a maidens blood? No one in the village would offer their own blood so a goat's blood will do.
Whats the difference? Blood is blood.
She shrugged off any other thoughts. She mixed all the ingredients together and portioned them out to use for the next 3 days.
The young woman was to happy to hear such great news that she left out the part where she used goat blood instead of a maiden's blood!
But she specifically said a drop of blood from a maiden!
After 3 days, she set out to tell the old woman she did everything she was told.
The curse lifted! Soon you will be able to feel a kick from within!
