The main idea/important event in Gn7 is the storm/Great flood. The first thing that happens everyone was sinning God told Noah to go to the ark with the animals because he would send a huge storm, Noah and his family were the only ones not sinning. Next, the storm went on for forty days and forty nights, the ark was lifted and above the earth. Finally, everything was wiped out and had died except Noah, his family and the animals with him. A life lesson we can learn from this passage is to trying not to sin.
"Together with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, Noah went into the ark because of the waters of the flood"(Gn 7:7).
"One the very same day, Noah and his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife, and the three wifes sons had entered the ark, together with every kind of wild animal"(Gn 7:13).
"The Lord wiped out everything on earth, earth beings, and animals the crawling things and the birds of the air all were wiped out from the earth. Only Noah and those with him in the ark were"(Gn 7:23)
