Mary Nelson is starting out a regular day in the Jamestown settlement she is beginning the day by waking up her children. In her 2 room home with a stove in the kitchen a bed in Mary and her husband's bedroom and a attic with beds for the children.This home is in rural America.
Wake up, Billy you are starting your apprenticeship with Mr. Collins the blacksmith and as for you Elizabeth you will be helping me with washing the clothes and making dinner.
Today like any other day Mary will prepare the children porridge for breakfast.
Mary walks Billy to the blacksmith's shop were he will be an apprentice.
On the way home Mary had to get some flour for dinner and tobacco for her husband, so she stopped at the store.
Then Mary gets home she starts the wash.
Mary starts dinner after getting home which consists of corn soup.
