  • Odysseus is stranded at a river with no one around.
  • Nausicaa is the daughter od Alcinous the king of the Phaeacians' city.
  • Athena visits Nausicaa in her sleep to convince her to go to the river. This is all Athena's plan for her to find Odysseus
  • Nausicaa and her two attendants go to the river and find Odysseus sleeping.
  • "I implore you, Lady: Are you a goddess Or mortal? If you are of heaven's divinities I think you are most like great Zues' daughter Artemis" (6.150-152)
  • You seem like a trustworthy man. I shall treat you well and give food and clothing.
  • Nausicaa invites Odysseus to her fathers house.
  • "Get ready now stranger to go to the city, so I can show you the way to my father's house" (6.262-263)
