This is an observation of two students in my classroom. I am observing for communication between the two.
My observation took place at Dayton School District ESD on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 1:30 pm.
I wonder if my students can communicate with one another without verbal communication?
Both of my students are nonverbal. I will observe them looking for any indicator that they are able to communicate.
During the first eight minutes, the students worked hard and had no communication.
The female student made a grunting noise and the male student laughed.
After their interaction, both students arose and walked to the play area and began playing with toys. Thus, leading me to believe that athough they are nonverbal, they do in fact communicate with one another.
