Storyboard Text

  • Meanwhile, Aaron Burr had challenged Alexander Hamilton to a duel. They both showed up, but the only one intending to do harm was Burr. He was still angry because Hamilton had chosen Jefferson to be the President.
  • Let's Duel!
  • We don't have to do this!
  • Thomas Jefferson was very eager to explore the new land he had acquired. He sent two men, Lewis and Clarke, on a secret mission to take notes on the environment, the people, and the animals. On this mission the men met a native, Sacajawea, and she guided them around the land.
  • I would love to guide you two around my territory!
  • The Embargo of 1807 was set by Thomas Jefferson. He believed that by blocking trade and export to Britain and other European powers, it would hurt them and teach them to respect their decision to being neutral. In 1809, the embargo was lifted.
  • We must stop trade if we want to hurt Britain and force them to honor neutrality!
