  • Whilst James was at the Canteen a girl named Antonia came up to James and said that she know's what's happening to him and she's addressed it with the principle and that he's going to address it at the school assemble. And that she's there as a friend for him.
  • 6. Benefits of Mental Health Services
  • Like Antonia said the school principle who's name is Mr Smith did hold an assemble and addressed the fact that harassment and bullying is not okay and the bad effects it can have on people. And it was very clear that Mr Smith also despised bullying, the bully also looked uncomfortable through out the assemble as he knew its was partly about his doings.
  • 6. Benefits of Mental Health Services
  • When James got home he rang a a mental health service called Kids Helpline for people aged 5-25, parents, schools and teachers, he dialed in the number 1800 55 1800 and start talking to a consultant about him being bullied and he had a half hours chat with the consultant, he was told to ignore the bully and to talk to the people closest to him.
  • 6. Benefits of Mental Health Services
  • The next day he went back to school, and was shouted at by the bully and he let the bully get to him again so he went home and talked to his Mum about it and he was given really good advice.
  • At school the next day the bully shouted rude slurs at him again but as he learnt he ignored the bully and just walked straigt by him without even looking at the bully.
  • After the bullies failed attempt the day before, he knew there was no point in doing anything to James and just let go on by. James knew he had won and that the bully would probably never bother him again.
