Storyboard Text

  • My name is Martha. I am 14 years old and in eighth grade. I live with my Grandparents. My school carries out the tradition every year to give scholarship jackets to high achieving students with the highest grades. I really want that jacket because this is my last year.
  • But...
  • Oh, no....
  • Martha is smarter than Joan! We have the data!
  • Mr. Schmidt (History Teacher)
  • After that, I came home crying.
  • Mr. Boone (Math teacher)
  • Martha's grandfather  is poor. He can't pay the fifteen dollars. Look, Joan's father has a lot of things. Joan is rich.
  • The next day, Mr. Schmidt called me.
  • Now, the rule is different. You have to pay the fifteen  dollars for the jacket.
  • I'm very sad. And I am crying in the way to back home.
  • I look for my grandfather and found him in the field.
  • We have to pay the jacket.
  • I don't wanna pay, because the scholarship must be free.
  • The principal give an unexpected announcement.
  • The jacket is free for you.
  • I'm shock and very happy. I can't wait to tell my grandparents.
  • At home.
  • Grandma! Grandpa! I I got that jacket for free!
  • The end.
