Micheal Oher, the main focus of the story, has recently enrolled into the Wingate Christian School since not being at a school for a very long time. When arriving, Mike is considered an outcast by many of the other students. But he meets a young boy, Sean, who will later become an important factor of his life.
Once Sean is picked up from school, his mom, Leigh Anne Tuohy, is very curious of Micheal. By the time they are close to their home, Leigh Anne notices Micheal walking down in the cold with barely anything warm to wear. She then tells Mike to come home with her to stay for the night.
During his time spent with the Tuohy's, Leigh Anne finds a new bond for Mike and takes him in as one of her own. It develops a new relationship between Micheal and the Tuohy family, and Leigh Anne decides to help him with his school grades so he can join the football team.
The trailer never exactly shows or represents a falling action so I did not include it..
To make sure Micheal will be able to make it into the football team, Leigh Anne signs him up for tutoring. It takes some time, but eventually Micheal's grades have increased to where he can finally try out for the football team.
The Tuohy family earn a new bond with Micheal and are proud to call them their son(or older brother). Later on in the future, Micheal becomes part of the NFL and plays for the team, Baltimore Ravens.
