"Many people, especially kids came to protest segregation. Wyatt Walker, one of Civil Rights Movement Activists, called a peaceful protest and asked kids to not go to school. This was called D Day.
A picture was taken of a boy who was supposedly attacked by a police dog which was let loose by police officers. One of the civil rights activists, Wyatt Walker, had published the picture in a magazine
By using many different and sometimes radical ways to protest, Wyatt Walker attempted to change the ways African Americans were treated. In this case, Goliath was the racism and segregation that people had to face and Walker used different styles of protest in order to fight the unfairness.
Many people thought that using children was selfish, however, Walker knew that everything was needed to be done in order to make sure change was finally starting to happen.
It was later found out that the picture taken of the boy had a slight different story than what the media was portraying. The boy was actually able to defend himself and the police officers were holding the dog down. However, by the protest Walker managed to gain sympathy from people from around USA.
