President- George Washington This was a tax protest against the tax of whiskey. The people stated that there shouldn't be tax on whiskey because whiskey was made of corn and corn was not taxed. The U.S. army at the time stoped the rebellion showing that our government was strong.

The people against it argued that they were giving the courts too much power. The people supporting it said that the court would help in the U.S. after the confederation period.
President- John Adams This established judicial review. This determined the constitutionality of a law in the constitution. This was established because Madison refused to deliver a commission which was found illegal in the supreme court.
President- John Adams A series of laws that said that the president could deport immigrants. This made it harder for immigrants to vote. It also made immigrants life harder since they were not citizens.

President- Thomas Jefferson This was a land deal in which the U.S. acquired a big piece of land. The purchase was between the U.S. and France which cost the U.S. $15 million dollars.
