  • Exposition
  • Rising Action Part 1
  • I killed him. I killed that boy. 
  • Rising Action Part 2 
  • Ponyboy went to the Movies with Johnny, Dally, and Two-Bit. They met Cherry and Marcia who are two girls that are involed in the Socs. Cherry and Ponyboy became friends and they realized how they wanted the violence between the two gangs to end.
  • Climax
  • Pony and Johnny got in a fight with Five Socs. Ponyboy was getting drowned so Johnny killed Bob, a Soc, in a act of self defence. This was a major turning point in the novel because Johnny was usally a nice and kind kid who would never hurt anyone. 
  • Falling Action
  • Stay gold, Ponyboy, Stay gold...
  • Johnny and Ponyboy run away from home because of the murder. They stayed in a old vacant church and Ponyboy read Johnny the novel "Gone With the Wind". 
  • Resolution
  • Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy left the chuch and when they came back the church was on fire! Johnny forgot to put out one of his cigeretes so it set the chruch on fire. Kids were inside the church so the boys went to save them. 
  • Johnny got servely injured in the fire and the docters did not know if he would live. The town thought that the kids were heros. 
  • By the end of the story Ponyboy trys to move on from Johnny and Dallys death. He starts to live a better life because it was what Johnny wanted for him. He recived a letter that Johnny wrote before he died
