Storyboard Text

  • In the beginning...
  • After the Brown Vs. Education Case, it was decided that the 'Separate But Equal' doctrine be abolished.
  • I declare the Doctrine 'Separate But Equal' overturned!
  • I DIDN'T I SWEAR!
  • Not everyone was so happy about the court's decision. A lot of that hate was then channeled to the African-American community.
  • Did you just whistle at her!
  • We must fight against the court's decision!
  • After the Brown Case, Senator Byrd calls for massive resistance against the decision of Brown Vs. Education court case
  • Over 100 southern congressmen sign the manifesto, to show that they were against the decision made in the Brown case.
  • Hand it over!
  • I can!
  • Who is with me! We need to sign this Manifesto! It will save us!
  • Save us!
  • I will!
  • After the singing of the Southern Manifesto, many African-Americans began to resist. One of many noteworthy people being Martin Luther King Jr. Who lead the March on Washington.
  • I have a dream...!
  • And sadly, this document is still as alive as ever. It will still mark how much the south really wanted to keep segregation alive.
  • The End
