  •          Pennsylvania State house 
  • 56 Delegates 
  • Meeting/Congress
  • The second Continental Congress met here in 1775 on May 10th. After fighting had broken out. Eventually this house would be where the Declaration of Independence would be signed.
  • 13 Colonies
  • 56 Delegates from every except for Georgia. Patrick Henry, George Washington, John Adams, and John Jay were among the delegates. They had many conversations about the war and future efforts.
  • Colonial War
  • They succeeded the First Continental Congress. Deyton Randolph from Virginia was the first president of Congress. The group adopted the Lee Resolution which would establish the new country.
  • The Result 
  • 1st national constitution 
  • Flash foward
  • 5 years later 
  • The delegates of the 13 colonies met in the spring of 1775 they wanted to help succeed the first Congress. Each person spoke for their home and spoke for the people who resided there.
  • Once war broke out, the congress met up. The Congress managed war efforts and kept pushing towards independence. They made everyone continue to fight, to aspire to their freedom
  • The Congress ratified The First National Constitution and The Articles of Confederation. They even brought the indpendence, and freed their country on July 4th.
  • The Americans won the war
