  • Michael's flaw is that he has the mental illness of 'Low Latent Inhibition'.
  • Hamartia: Flaw that causes the downfall.
  • Michael has to test his cellmate, Sucre, in order to find out if he has what it takes to be part of his plan and not ruin anything.
  • Hubris: Extreme pride.
  • The moments when things change are when Michael lets more people join in the plan to escape prison.
  • Peripeteia: There is a reversal of fortune (usually a decision that changes everything).
  • Michael realizes that his escape plan is flawed and will not work, therefore he needs to come up with a new one (happens more than once).
  • Anagnorisis: Hero makes a critical realization (epiphany).
  • After Michael went through many plans and finally escaped prison, his death was impossible to escape due to his mental illness.
  • Nemesis: Fate that cannot be reversed.
  • Because Michael had a long journey to escape prison and when he finally did he passed away, the audience felt pity.
  • Catharisis: Mood (usually pity or fear) the audience is left with after the hero's fall.
