  • How to debunk these stereotypes
  • These stereotypes can be debunked by saying that these slums exist and are a pretty big part of India's population (about 16.5% of all India's population.) However, India is trying to make great leaps forward the quality of living wise with about 37 % of India's population (some of those people living in slums) being in an urban area and with a whopping 50.08% being farmers which is where the stereotypes of most Indians being farmers and living in slums but India's population shouldn't be ignored as the cities don't have the resources to fit 70% of our 2nd biggest in the world population. (2nd to China.) These stereotypes are very offensive to most urban Indians as they don't like to be reminded of the problems in their country.
