Brown vs. Board of education is a case where racial segregation children in public schools was unconstitutional. This event helped unite black and whites in same schools.

The Sibley Commission was named for John Sibley. A committee to study the problem of integration of Georgia public schools. Many Black students could have gone to closer only white schools instead of walking far away to their colored school.

Holmes and Hunter was the first two African American students to attend UGA. Charlayne Hunter and Hamilton Holmes walked up Broad Street in Athens on January 9, 1961, to enter the UGA campus.
The Founding of SNCC became one of the largest organization suring the modern civil rights movement. The SNCC used sit-ins at lunch counters where they refused to move in order to boycott businesses that wouldn't serve blacks.
The March on Washington is organized by the SNCC for jobs and freedom. Many people gave famous speeches, and used their actions to obtain the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Everyone was on the march, having big posters saying, "We want freedom!" etc.
The Little Rock Nine were a group of black students who enrolled in all-white High school in Little Rock, Arkansas. They were experiencing violence and beatings from their classmates. President Eisenhower was sent to federal troops to protect them.
