In this scene, Romeo ditched Benvolio and Mercutio to go into the Capulet's garden to see Juliet. He overhears Juliet talking on her balcony, unbeknownst to her. She declares her love to him, although their surnames to not coincide.
Romeo goes to Friar Lawrence's chamber to talk with him. The Friar asks him if he was with Rosaline, but Romeo tells him about Juliet. Upon hearing about the marriage plans, Friar Lawrence is happy with the opportunity of the two houses uniting.
Romeo and Friar Lawrence meet in his quarters to plan the marriage. Friar Lawrence blesses the marriage as Juliet arrives. Friar Lawrence then quickly starts the ceremony, joining the two opposing houses in holy matrimony.
